We are a vibrant, busy, but friendly dive centre right here in South Croydon for you to come and join our divers exploring the magical wonders of the underwater world. You too may become one of our divers involved in the discovery of the most exciting, stimulating environment and soon may you realise, that although you have lived on the same planet, the diverse range of marine life make the Oceans that cover 70% of the earths surface a completely different world.
Emerald Island Divers caters to all divers and snorkelers needs. We have a wide range of products available in our retail department, stocked to supply every divers need, from the complete diver equipment package to a fill of an air tank from our mixed gas filling station, we are here to fulfill your needs. We have an in house service workshop, our technicians provide maintenance and repairs for nearly all makes of popular diving equipment. We are a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre.
All of our teaching staff have completed the rigorous training to certify as PADI Scuba Instructors. We have a very experienced team of instructors ready to take you discovering the under water world. Our diver training school, offers the entire range of diver training courses from teaching people to dive for the very first time, to courses teaching the latest mixed gas technical rebreather apparatus. We also train instructors. We have received PADI Award for Education on more than one occasion. If you wish to start diving, then please contact us to join one of our Discover Scuba programs.
Our and First Aid training is conducted by qualified Paramedics, Emergency First Responder, Caring for Children, and First Aid at Work courses are available plus in addition, specialised courses in Advanced Oxygen Administration and the use of Electronic Automated Defibulators.
Once our divers are trained, we have a friendly, active dive club for you to enjoy. The variety of activity ranges from local daily dive outings, to weekends and weeks away plus many social evenings for you to bring along your non diving partners and friends to enjoy. We have our own club boat, conveniently kept in Newhaven Sussex, only one hour from the dive centre.
Our travel department offers both domestic and International travel destinations for divers and non divers to the most popular holiday resorts Worldwide. We have computer linked systems in store, to connect to a wide range of travel locations. We specialise in travel to the Egyptian Red Sea, a trip that every diver must experience, discovery of the abundance of marine life that inhabit the one of the Worlds most fertile seas.
Established at our present location, since 1996. We are easy to find, located along the main Surrey to London Artery of the A235. Conveniently reached by car or public transport. South Croydon train station is only 200m walk from our dive centre, East Croydon a five minute taxi ride. Many buses stop right outside our door. Convenient parking right outside the shop in parking bays, (Until 4pm, Mon-Fri), all day Saturday and Sunday. We also have a car park available at the rear of the building.
